On Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Foster With Us will host a special Date Night for foster and adoptive families in our community.
While parents enjoy a catered dinner and time together, trained volunteers will provide childcare in a safe and fun environment. For many foster families, opportunities like this are rare but incredibly valuable. Caring for children who have experienced trauma can be rewarding, but it can also be exhausting. Strong marriages and healthy families are essential to sustaining long term foster care ministry.
In many South American cultures, there is a tradition known as a padrino. A padrino is a sponsor who helps make an important family event possible. Whether it is a wedding, baptism, or another milestone, a padrino comes alongside a family to provide support and encouragement.
That is exactly what sponsors do for our Date Nights.
When a family, Sunday School class, small group, or local business helps provide a meal, childcare, supplies, or financial support, they become a padrino to foster families. Their generosity creates an opportunity for parents to rest, reconnect, and return home encouraged.
