Why Vision Baptist Partners with Families 4 Families
Connecting Forsyth County churches to the foster care community — and standing with the families who say yes.
Vision Baptist Church believes the local church has a vital role to play in caring for children and families in crisis. That is why we have partnered with Families 4 Families, a faith-based foster care agency serving Georgia, to help connect churches across Forsyth County with the foster care community.
Our Conviction
Scripture is clear that God’s people are to care for the fatherless and the vulnerable. We believe fostering is not a calling reserved for a few families — it is a mission the whole church can share, through prayer, practical help, and steady encouragement for those who open their homes.

Why Families 4 Families?
Families 4 Families is a Bible-based, Christ-honoring ministry that shares our values and our commitment to reunification. They walk alongside foster, respite, and adoptive families with training, resources, and ongoing support — and they equip churches to do the same. Partnering with them lets our congregation plug into an established, trustworthy ministry instead of building one from scratch.
What This Partnership Looks Like
Together we host the Foster With Us Luncheon to introduce other Forsyth County churches to this work, hold Date Nights and Family Huddles to encourage families already serving, and point those who feel called to foster toward Families 4 Families to take their first step.
Equipping the Church: The Banner Ministry
Families 4 Families does not stop at placing children in homes. They equip churches to surround each foster family with a team that shares the load — meeting practical, emotional, and spiritual needs so that no family fosters alone.
The model is called a Banner Ministry. The name comes from Exodus 17:15, where Moses built an altar and named it Jehovah-Nissi — “The LORD is my Banner.” Just as Israel was held up in the heat of battle, a Banner Team holds up a foster family in theirs.
And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi.

Through Families 4 Families’ training, a church appoints a Banner Team Leader to serve as the family’s main point of contact and gathers several families around them — providing meals, respite and babysitting, mentoring for the children, help with home and yard projects, and steady prayer. The goal is five or six families supporting each foster family, at whatever level of involvement fits your church’s capacity.
